Cheesy Lekor @ Keropok Lekor B.T.B 2209

Keropok lekor or fish crackers usually made with fish, sago flour, salt, sugar and seasoning. The delicious taste had lured the people especially Malaysian to like it and make it as a snack during tea time.

However, keropok lekor also went through an innovation process to suit the flavor with current time. Cheesy lekor or fish cracker with cheese inside was the latest product from the famous and most popular keropok lekor shop in Kuala Terengganu called Keropok Lekor B.T.B 2209 which was located at Bukit Tok Beng, Seberang Takir.

According to the owner of the shop, Mohd Nazir Mohd Dagang, 36, the new flavour was introduced on July during the fasting month and the response was quite good.

"People outside Terengganu can accept the new flavour of keropok lekor but for the local, they need time to adjust with the new taste. They hardly accept it as the fish flavour was lost when added to cheese, but we will continue to promote and introduce the cheesy lekor to the customer," he said.

Mohd Nazir said the cheese which diced into cube  will pour into the fish mixture and then shaped it into a small size before being boiled and fried.

It was sold at RM1 for three cheesy lekor and best served with chilli dip or cheese sauce.
